The Central Bank of Ceylon (CBSL) issued in 1983 April for circulation, a 100 Rupee Currency Note dated 1982-01-01 in a series of Notes that started in 1981 on theme Historical and Archaeology of Sri Lanka.

Within a decorative border and center, Numeric 100 at all four corners. At upper center the value රුපියල් සියයයි in Sinhala. நூறு ரூபாய் in Thamil, and ONE HUNDRED RUPEES in English, at bottom center.
In Top center in Sinhala, ශ්‍රී ලංකා මහ බැංකුව, இலங்கை மத்திய வங்கி in Thamil and CENTRAL BANK OF CEYLON in English in next two lines with decreasing font size.

Horizontal Serial number on lower left of center and upper right.
The Balustrade on side of entrance step with a seated lion left, with face turned forward and left paw up and tail curled over body. with caption bottom left of it in Sinhala කොරවක් ගල, අනුරාධපුර., Thamil சிற்பக்கல், அனுராதபுரம்., and English STONE CARVING, ANURADHAPURA.
Braille:Five small squares printed in relief incorporated vertically on the right hand side border of the note.

රුපියල් සියයයි in Sinhala. நூறு ரூபாய் in Thamil, and ONE HUNDRED RUPEES in English, in 3 lines of decreasing font size justified on bottom.
New complex for Sri Lanka Parliament the architecture of this House of Representatives built in 1982 was done by Geoffrey Bawa. Caption bottom left of it in Sinhala පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්දිරය ශ්‍රි ජයවර්ධනපුර කෝට්ටේ, Thamil பாராளுமன்றக் கட்டடம், ஸ்ரீ ஜயவர்த்தனபுர கோட்டை, and English PARLIAMENT BUILDING OF JAYWARDHANAPURA KOTTE .
At bottom centered just below horizontal decorate in small script

Security Thin polyester thread of 1 mm width embedded in note. Micro-printing background pattern.
UV Printing: Front: Signature, Date and Serial Numbers, in Green. On right outlines of large Flag Lion with Sword in raised right paw in yellow with large numeric 100 highlighting design at center.
Back: Highlight of decorative border around watermark panel in Greenish Yellow.
Latent image: Within the decorates in the motif at front bottom center, the Numeric value 100 written with horizontal lines on vertical line background, as seen on this 1200 dpi scan on right.
