Bradbury Wilkinson Essay - date 1964-6-12

A Bradbury Wilkinson Banknote design Essay for Rupees Ten with the date 1964-6-12. The date of essay scribbled on note is however 1966-5-5. They are for Rs 10 notes designed for the replacement of the SWRD Image after the victory in the Parliamentary elections held on 1965 March 20th of the UNP led by Dudley Senanayake son of D. S. Senanayake.
The existing design with Armorial Ensign of Ceylon adopted for all denomination notes in 1956 was continued with only the symbol in front changing from portrait of SWRD adopted 1962 November to the Pulasthi statue, dated 1965 September before this essay.

Front: Pictorial on right facing Forward left.
At top ශ්‍රී ලංකා මහ බැංකුව in Sinhala. ලංකාණ්ඩුව වෙනුවෙන් නිකුත් කරන ලද මේ මුදල් නෝට්ටුව ලංකාව ඇතුළත ඕනෑම මුදල් ගණනක් ගෙවිම සඳහා නිතියෙන් වලංගුය in few lines. In Sinhala රුපියල් දහයයි Thamil பத்து ரூபாய் and English Ten RUPEES. The Numeric date 1964-6-12 without leading zero below which Sinhala signature N. M. Perera above මුදල් ඈමති, and Sinhala signature W. Rajapatirana above මහ බැංකුවේ අධිපති Both Date and Signatures are just place holderes as designs were essayed 2 years later in 1966 May after the 1965 victory of UNP. Serial No at lower left and upper right.

The back essay was not listed with Auction, or any other found online.

The Gray-scale photographic essay is presented as Sepia tone, although they would have been Green as in the Rs 10 note of the era.
The notes at xx,xx,xx and xx dpi are displayed at about 50 dpi if assuming height of 1960 notes.
