Green is unexpected for a SLFP hand bill since it is the party color of rival party the UNP. The same hand bill in Blue, the party color of SLFP, was listed in Dix Noonan Webb Auction of 2005 September 28. Unsold Lot 2264 Sri Sanga Bodhi Bank, Fifty Cents, blue on white, priest at left
Buddhist era date of 2505 had been mysteriously countermarked with black dots to read 50 and has been digitally erased in image shown above.

2508 is BE year of the election on 1965 March 22nd. 2505 is BE year of the previous election on 1960 July 20th. It appears they have used the previous elections block for back of handbill. For next election in 1970 there is a 2513 bill with 2508 at back.

The bill design has been finely drawn by hand with the layout and design of the Green Rs 10 note which had been in circulation since 1951. Printed 12% wider and 17% higher by single color 100 dpi block printing.

Fantasy bill has been scanned at 300 dpi amd displayed at 75 dpi

The fantasy bill with 7 others was sold as a group by Fred Medis on SLNS meeting auction in 2017 February.
