A Fantasy note to pay tribute to Sri Lanka Security Forces engaged in the North East civil war. It is dated on 1990 June 10th, when Eelam War II started, which resulted in one of the worst war crimes of the LTTE.

Colors and layout of Design like the Rs 1000 note of 1990 which had been in circulation since 1981. In Sinhala For North East War engaged Sri Lanka Security Forces on top center banner with To left of center below in three lines of smaller Sinhala text Not a currency note issued on behalf of Sri Lanka Government. This cannot be used for and Money transaction within Sri Lanka Faithful reverence Tribute Signed below in Sinhala M. V.  Gunadasa, with date 10.6.90 which is the start Date of Eelam War II. Captain Printer, Colombo 10 within the bottom center decoration. A pair of serial numbers in lower left and upper right written as C/P 434806 0000 in all four corners.

In Sinhala For North East War engaged Sri Lanka Security Forces on top right, Lion with sword of Sri Lanka Flag in white space. Below on left unknown Soldier facing right with machine gun guarding a building on right. At bottom Faithful reverence Tribute 0000 in top left and bottom right.

The note design has been finely drawn by hand with the design features and colours of the 1990 Rs 1000 currency note. Printed same width but 6% higher by color 150 dpi offset printing.

The fantasy note with 5 others was sold as a group by Harry Gunewardena at a SLNS meeting auction in 200?.
