Back Pictorial :  Rice cultivation with farmer ploughing field by two bulls to left a lady with a basket if vegetable produce at center. Standing king of Kandy Wimaladharmasuriya on right.

The total number of stars increase with denomination from 26 to 35. The 3 groups of stars on the back of the 4 denominations although total 12 groups, did not appear to be Zodiac signs. What are they?

Printed in USA the non-metric size of each note is 6½ by 3¼ inches.

A True and Exact Description of the Great Island of Ceylon by Philippus Baldaeus (1672), An Historical Relation of the Island Ceylon by Robert Knox (1681), and Illustrated London News (1876, 1887) and other sources.

Printed in 2016 with a Limited Serial Numbered issue of 2500 of which 2000 are being sold to Public. (#501 and #1801 seen online) Was initially sold for US$10 per set and are still available for that the price on eBay

A more Limited issue of 50, with Serial Numbered by Hand and with certificate signed by designer and Extra UV printing. The 50 Gulden front, left of center has UV image shown on right of a Sailing Ship with Banner with VOC monogram above. The other denominations have only a UV strip on right hand side of the front. They are now being sold on eBay for US$86 for set.

The set of notes were purchased on eBay in 2016 April from US dealer Yuri Minkin.
They were scanned at 300 dpi and are displayed above at 50 dpi
