Notes
- The GuardStones in 1952 Rs10/- and 1982 Rs 5/- are different, but
both have been postively identified as being from the
Ratnaprasada (Gem Palace) in Anuradhapura.
- The Statue of sage Pulasthi, Polonnaruwa is also identified in
error as King ParakramaBahu the Great.
- Images of all these notes are posted in main catalog.
- Michael Mayler who has researched the 1979 Flora and Fauna
notes said
I think only the 5 and 50 rupees reverses are specifically Sinharaja.
All of the Flora and Fauna in the front of the 50 Rupess are found in Sinharaja,
but the backdrop with the sunset over the ocean could not make it Sinharaja, which
is in the interior of the island.
